Gala Day!!
Gala week begins!! This week is the run up to the Gala Day Parade kicking off in style with a fantastic pet show to begin the festive fun. Please make sure you dont miss out on Friday evening for the fun run and bbq event at the memorial hall. Leading into saturday the Parade sets off from Eldwick School at 12.45pm and works its way down towards the main event at 1.15pm. There will be stalls and stands galore and with all the kids entertainment, The main field opens at 12.45pm, dont miss the family packed day out.

The Acorn & The Glen
The Acorn changes hands on Friday 1st Feb.The pub is being “spruced up” by Enterprise Inns.The new manager Luke Whitaker says that the Acorn is part of a portfolio of pubs run by Neil Pckles who has just taken on the Glen as well, adding to the Red Lion at Burley and the White Bear at Crosshills. The Acorn opening times will be Monday to Sunday 11-11. Food, Wed to Sat 12-2.30 and 5-9, Sunday 12-8.
There will be a pensioners’ lunch available Wed –Sat which is £6.50 for two courses.
